It started with a Sunday School project at Silverdale Baptist Church.
It turned into a donation of more than 500 items thanks to a 4-year-old boy named Lewis, whose request to help the kids at Bethel went viral in the Ooltewah area.
The sweet note shown below, was taped to neighbors’ doors and brought in a huge response.
Lewis was even featured in the news!
His mom, Kerri, is pleased that her little boy wanted to make a difference for other children who don’t have as much as he does. The food and supplies were delivered Friday to Bethel with love by Kerri and Lewis, and their Sunday School friend Bonnie and her son Roman, age 2 1/2.
We are so inspired by their generous little hearts, and by their moms, who are raising their children to care so much for others.
