Bethel Welcomes Harriet Brunker as New CFO
We are excited to announce that Harriet Brunker has joined Bethel Bible Village as Chief Financial Officer.
Harriet most recently served as Controller at the Chattanooga Area Food Bank for the past three years. Her finance experience includes public accounting and insurance, including several years at Unum, a Fortune 500 company based in Chattanooga and Portland Maine.
Harriet grew up in Hixson, TN and graduated from Red Bank High School. She has a BS in Accounting from Milligan College and earned her CPA license in the State of Virginia in 2005 while employed in a CPA firm.
Harriet believes in giving back to her community with her time and talents. She has previously served on the Board of Directors for the Chattanooga Symphony Orchestra Youth Orchestra, volunteered her time with community youth through choir and soccer programs, and currently serves as the Treasurer of the DuPont Community PTA Board of Directors.
She is also active in her industry as a member of the Tennessee Society of Certified Public Accountants.
On a Mission
Harriet has a brain for business as well as a heart for the kids at Bethel.
“I am excited for the opportunity to serve our community and make a difference in the lives of those we serve,” Harriet said. “Bethel is a longstanding Chattanooga organization making a strong impact on the lives of children and families in our region. I am honored to be part of this ongoing mission to provide healing and hope for children in crisis.”
Harriet is married to Fred Brunker and they have two children, Caleb, age 9, and Benjamin, age 6. They are members of Stuart Heights Baptist Church, where Harriet also volunteers in children’s ministry.
Harriet fills the position formerly held by Jennifer Morrison, who will be continuing with Bethel in a consultant role and as a volunteer. We are thankful for Jennifer’s five years of dedicated service.
