A Weekend Retreat for Families
Family Steps is a weekend retreat for families with children and teens who are struggling through difficult challenges. This retreat is open to traditional families, as well as grandfamilies, relative caregivers, step-families, blended and adoptive families.
Facing a more serious crisis? Read about Next Step, Bethel’s crisis housing program for parents 18 and over with children, or learn more about residential programs for children and teens.
The intensive weekend retreat is held in a large welcoming home on our Hixson campus, two weekends per month. The retreat begins with dinner on Friday and ends by noon on Sunday.
This intensive retreat will help your family learn valuable communication, relationship skills and spiritual truths to work through areas of conflict that are causing family struggles. This weekend also provides a break from the daily challenges that are disrupting family life.
Over the course of the weekend, Family Steps facilitators use a Christ-centered approach to help your family understand the root causes of conflict in your home.
The cost for the weekend is $575 per family and there is some financial aid for cases of need. The $575 retreat cost includes:
— Lodging on Friday and Saturday nights for all family members
— All meals and snacks throughout the weekend
— Linens and towels
— All program materials
— Intensive family workshops and breakout activities
— Fun family activities throughout the weekend
